Leonardo Da Vinci's

"DREAM"

I sculpted the Dream from DaVinci's sketch number 12343,
1508 Milan, for the Sfoza Equestrian Monument in the courtyard
of  the Sfoza Castle in Milan. I tried to portray this Horse
as a strong, powerful, majestic, War Horse , like Leonardo had envisioned .

If DaVinci had completed his Dream, the horse would have been 24 foot tall
and over 10 tons. However the French invaded Italy using the horse model
for target practice and the bronze meant for his horse was instead sent to
Ferrars to be used for cannon barrels, Leonardo DaVinci's "DREAM" distroyed..

I am fascinated with Leonardo's Genius, and have gone to Florence,
several times, which is just about 20 miles from Vinci,
the town that Leonardo was born. I also have gone to Leonardo's Castle,
Castillo del Clos-lice, that the King of France gave him , in Amboise France.
I visited his work shop and the bedroom where he died. Leonardo never went
anywhere without the Mona Lisa painting, there was a copy of the Mona Lisa painting
in his bedroom.

"DREAM" is discretely signed along the left rear calf of the horse by artist
Michael Costanzo. Each casting will be numbered.
Weighing about 50 pounds it is an impressive 21 inches tall atop a hand
worked Maroon Imperial Marble base 16 inches wide. Cast using the
lost wax method, at the World renown Bronzart Foundry in Sarasota Florida.
A copy of DaVinci's sketch will accompany the Bronze.

Frederic  Remington   Bronco Buster

I purchased the Bronco Buster 26 years ago. It has been  a source of pride and pleasure for all
these years, as you can see  this is a great example , if you look at the detail.
some  bronzes are copies of copies and they loose much detail.

This Remington look like it was poured in the  original mold. I have added some of the pictures of
Presidents with  the Frederic Remington Bronco Buster in the oval office in the White  house.
Frederic Remington
presented his Bronco  Buster as a gift to President Theodore Roosevelt.

it is  65  pounds of bronze with a green marble base, and 23 inches  tall.
